The formation of iron ochre (also known as ochre deposits) can clog the French drain. This clogged drain can cause excessive moisture to build up around the foundation, leading to mold growth inside the building. A water sample from the sump pump or a soil sample is analyzed to determine whether there is a risk of clogging the French drain. Galileo Inspections works in collaboration with the Notreau laboratories for these analyses.
